Calling all enterprises in the Manufacturing Sector. As part of the activities for Mayo Ideas Month Mayo Local Enterprise Office and WestBIC is partnering with Irish Steel and organising a very informative breakfast briefing on Friday 31st October.

 

The briefing will focus on all the important issues affecting business including compliance with new regulations, Human Resource Management, Sustainability, Innovation, and the whole area of Tax credits for Research and Development.

 

The panellists are all experts in their field and will gladly answer any questions.

Speakers include:

 

  • Mary Seary Kearney, Employment Law Barrister from Purpletree HR Specialists who will give an overview of getting your business ready for and maintaining HR and GDPR compliance for 2025 & 2026 (the basic “must-haves")

 

  • David Kearney and Seán Dunne, HR & IR experts from Purpletree HR Specialists who will discuss some specific current challenges, such as permits, auto-enrolment, IR, and workplace mediation.

 

  • David Gilroy, lead consultant at Smart Sustainable Business who will help SMEs understand ESG priorities such as climate action, supply chain transparency, and governance. David will explain how emerging policies like CBAM fit into the shift toward sustainable, competitive business.
     

  • Darragh Gaffney from Leyton, an expert in supporting Irish businesses to access world-class support for innovation will explain the R&D tax credit scheme, demystifying it for businesses to simplify their access to complex incentives and maximise their financial benefit to support their growth plans. He will also lightly touch on grant funding options and will take questions from the audience

 

The event ends with tea, coffee and networking.
